Killed two Brooks in my life: The First caught Mold after beeing stored under a Plastic bag for a few weeks, the other one was way to soft to stand my 80kgs ~ 176lbs π
Well said Bill.
I always upped the tension on my Brooks saddles to compensate for my weight.
Only one stretched to the end of the adjustment – I did not cover it against the rain.
’nuff said π
I inherited my first Brooks from my father. It was as old as me (50) when it finally died. It was always comfortable. If a Brooks isnβt comfortable right away, you got the wrong shape. (Or you need to break in your butt, not the saddle π
Takes about a lifetime to wear in…
No, but as with any Brooks saddle, once you’ve broken it in it will (with reasonable care) last for at least *YOUR* lifetime.
Or you can use a modern saddle that doesn’t need to be broken in. ?
Took a few 100 miles to break in the B67 on my Brompton. Nice seat.

Don’t let them get saggy. Over 100kgs here.
