“GROK” – “Grrr, OK.” or “Get Ready Or Knot.”?
or is it Yehuda really is just a Stranger in a Strange Land? 😉
Slightly overblown sense of self importance towards the upcoming task?
I gonna miss my daily dose of Yehuda & The Kickstand Cyclery…
Wooo, such aggressiveness… calm down, buddy!
“Grok” – Old beatnik work meaning to study, listen to, philosophize, & understand a item or thought.
Syke, I think the “self” doesn´t play an important part in this. Perhaps even the contrary – a really self-important mechanics probably wouldn´t take time to “listen to the bicycle”, because they would (of course), think they know what is best for it already. // I know, Yehuda. That´t why I never even tried to apply for a job as a bicycle mechanic, though I really enjoy servicing my own (or family and friends’) bikes. I like to take my time, concentrate on every task. “Zen and the art of bicycle maintenance”. That is very nice, but you can’t do it as a business. Well… maybe under very special circumstances. Such circumstances probably won’t come true in a regular bike-shop, though. 🙂
