Although I did have something like this happen to me too. I used to work as a check-out clerk in a grocery store and we had a policy of honoring competitor’s prices for identical items.
So someone brought in a newspaper ad from a store on the other side of the state (250 miles away) and tried to claim that this was one of our competitors.
Needless to say, he didn’t get the price match.
“You don’t eat?”
