Jonathan Boyer (the first American to ride in the Tour de France) is 55, as is Greg LeMond (the first American to win the Tour) and Alex Stieda (the first North American to wear the yellow jersey in the Tour).
And Davis Phinney (the first American to win a stage of the Tour de France) is 57.
When did these guys get so old? I haven’t aged!!
Ah well; time marches on, I guess.

I’m faster and fitter at 59 than I was at 29.
(of course at 29 I was well over 100lbs heavier and I wasn’t cycling 125 miles in a day 🙂
