I’m a little more worried about Fred disappearing. Until (and unless) they find out who owned the car and who was driving it, he still doesn’t have closure.
Possibility: Fred seems like a dog that looks lost but ends up sniffing out the path and tracking things down.
Bigger possibility: What if the van belonged to a “community”? TinFoil Hat Conspiracy Theory Time, who’s game?
