..and derailleurs are a thing of the past?! (Just SingleSpeed!)

What really blows my mind is that derailleurs were once a thing of the *future*. Multi-speed cassettes were invented a long time before derailleurs were invented — cyclists had to reach down and move the chain by hand. It’s like that old story where the can was invented 50 years before the can-opener — except it actually happened.

Wow Yehuda Moon really. Please don’t touch my bike with tools. Let Joe work on it. I can wait. I just want it done right.

There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary: those that do, and those that don’t.

      There’s no place like 127.0.0.1.

He’s really gonna flip when he sees the new 12 speed system.

You mean 2×6? I already upgraded to a 14-speed system years ago.

Can I just get the whole thing changed out, for a 3-speed hub shifting system?

1-5 cogs are the same width. After that you can cold set a steel frame for 1 more cog. Beyond that you need a new frame.
