    48-32?  Sounds like they are talking about chainrings.  A 48-32 combo up front, paired with a 14-24 freewheel in the back, would give you a fairly good “crossover” gear range with a 36-inch low to a respectable 92-inch high.

    48-32 chainrings isn’t funny. 48-32 spoking would be. Only a tourist dumb enough to carry all their gear on the back would want it.

    48 – 32. Perfect spoking for an overweight rider on a long wheel base recumbent. Perhaps like the old guy in todays’ strip.
