In Göttingen (germay) I once visited a bar. The owner has sampled tons of leafs from the forest, dried them an covered the whole floor with them. Came back somtimes just for the feeling of walking on leafs… indoor.
Okay, the breakfast was god there too 😉
Had that yesterday on my way to work. Patches of snow sometimes covering the beautiful colored leafs lying on the way. And above me the branches covered with snow.
The only sound was my chain an the leafs under my tires.
What a start in the day….
Finally again a strip “out of the shop, out of the plot” (in more than one meaning / just the perfect moment)… I’ve loved those since I started reading this strip. Thank you! 🙂
It’s times like this — alone, surrounded by nature in a beautiful and serene setting — that I am able to rediscover what it is that I like best about cycling.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
A golden canopy of tranquillity. Not forgetting the nice skid pad of leaves underneath. (I like leaves on the floor and hate people clearing them up)

Beautiful. I think tranquility will be in extremely short supply today, so this is very timely.

They’ve mostly fallen here, so I’m riding on them on the wooded part of my commute. It’s still beautiful.
Leaves are not litter!
I have done the same this morning. The best therapy you can get anywhere. Keep riding
Less busy than the Golden Wombat of Destiny…
