Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

How does the ladies Tandem connect the front and rear cranks?
(No visible transfer chain)
Must be like the invisible spokes in the wheels then…
You know, if Rick included all the details that we just love to nit-pick about every comic, he’d probably be so bogged in details that the finished comic would never make publication. And . . . . . . what part of artistic license are you unwilling to accept?
You’re both right. I try to add just the right amount of detail, but in today’s that tandem really does need a chain. I updated it!
So I see – well done.
I was only kidding above BTW, not nit-picking…
As I have a Tandem, I thought it might be fun to mention the ‘missing’ item. I actually thought that somebody might invent some sort of replacement device like ‘Rick has included a drive shaft transfer system’ as a comedic observation.
*Both bikes levitate too? SWEET!
I’d like to see Yehuda’s eyes…. I’m guilty your honor of falling in love!!!
Doesn’t he already have a lady? Or did she get dumped and I missed it?
I am surprised Pops – you falling for Yehuda?
If two lawyers on a tandem crash…supply your own punchline here. Watch out Yehuda, they may look nice, but you are dealing with double trouble. My last encounter cost me my house and half of my pension.
That sounds like a divorce.
What would Yehuda do with one miliion $$$?
Two … at the same time.
Maybe he would use the money to stop the software triple posting comments?
Thought I would share this inspirational blog with you all, the incentive to cyc;e is often the hardest part to begin with, but the rewards… Oh the rewards! http://www.fatcyclerider.co.uk/2012/03/cycle-to-work-scheme-saved-my-life.html
Good story! Thumbs up and thanks for the link.
(also seems like a nice commuting route).
Those two look like Jaime and Hazel from GWS… Neither of whom ia a lawyer (but they could play ones in a different comic)
Tandems Rule.
Others Drule.
Are you sure they were not bankers?
Funny: just yesterday a lawyer friend was telling me how if she biked in then took the company shuttle home she could double-bonus. Timely.
The tandem on which we lead the Early Fast Busse ride for http://elmhurstbicycling.com at 6am Saturdays is such a chainless model, as my regular (blind) stoker recently upgraded from a 20yo Santana Sovereign to a current model that features Gates belt drive between the cranksets… (after a larger than expected bonus at his COBOL programming job) http://4sq.com/NuaPly – check the red tandem on the left, and how much the chain seems to be missing, especially when compared to the blue Co-Motion Periscope 26 with chain transfer on the right.
