		<description>actually my bikes understand that they&#039;ve each got a specific use and will only see use when that need arises. &#160;in the case of one, which was my daily driver for years, it&#039;s just as well as she&#039;s tired and old and just fine sleeping in the garage. &#160;The folder understands she&#039;s a rare-use bike and of course that leaves winter and summer who each get used accordingly. &#160;</description>

		<description>I sometimes find just the opposite, especially when it comes to maintenance. Case in point, this weekend, when I finally got around to installing my new brake pads. Also took the opportunity to wipe the bike down clean, clean and lube the chain, and Proofide my Brooks B17. Bike was looking cleaner and riding better than it had for MONTHS.

Next day, commute home from work, POP, broke a spoke on the rear wheel. Replaced and trued it up at home, but this is not the first time that meaningful maintenance one day is followed in quick order by some other unrelated issue. It&#039;s as if it likes the attention and is begging for more...</description>
