Actually, I have been considering it for a few years now... but to really set on the voyage, that's still a great step. :) But the boat is almost ready now, so what remains to do is mainly to arrange / reserve enough free time... Are you planning to go by boat, or just along the rivers, but by land? Brno is not that far from Danube, but not exactly near either. However, such a detour could be arranged easily, even just for a single day. It would be probably best to get to Bratislava (a city definitely worth visiting itself!) and head for Brno from there - either by train (if you choose something like Eurocity/Intercity, it's about 1 and 1/2 hour) or using the D2/E65 motorway, about 80 miles.  Brno is definitely an interesting place, yes.
