Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

New-mown grass smell explained — http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/125165
Or the pong of Diesel smoke? (Sorry)
Rick! This one simply HAS to be available on a mug!
Agreed! This is definitely one of those “why didn’t I think of that?” moments.
Or the heavy smell of riding between fields of oil seed rape in full bloom. That’s why I need inhalers, well that and tree pollen and…
Its the whiff of Jasimine blooms for me come October here in Western Australia.
For me it’s the blended smell of honeysuckle and jasmine, which have been in bloom for weeks now along most of the roads where I ride here in Alabama.
Where in Alabama? I live in the SE corner Dothan area
I live in the Birmingham area, near Trussville. Right now Highway 11 between Trussville and Argo has plenty of honeysuckle and jasmine in bloom.
Creosote bush after a rain in the Sonoran Desert.
Fresh hay, straw and wild roses. I even had some of that yesterday when I rode along a freshly straw coverec strawberry field.
Or riding by the pizza joint, or the chinese restaurant, or someone drying a load of clothes.
And then there’s the garbage truck that goes by when your pedaling uphill.
The smell of a spring morning.
I prefer the smell of the morning after an overnight rain. Now that’s a smell I can’t get enough of.
There’s plenty of that in the UK at the moment!
the smell of bacon & eggs during an early morning ride….
Yeah! I got a long draught of bacon-laden fog this morning.
Mmmmmmmm Bacon!
You got it! There’s a diner on the way to work where I smell that each morning.
Almost forgot … the smell of freshly baked bread as you roll past the bakery!
Yep, nothing beats the smell of freshly cut grass while out for a ride.
For me its the smell of oncoming rain and seeing the clouds roll in over the mountains in Montana on my commutes.
That and the random smell of flowers that will hit me out of nowhere and make me ride in circles for a few minutes to find out where it is coming from. Hopefully that happens to other people too :-/
Not a fan of the cut grass smell — brings back too many awful memories of allergy induced asthma attacks.
On a bike, it’s not just what you smell but the intensity with which you smell it. My wife complains about my lousy sense of smell (“You can’t smell that?!”) but on a bike, away from traffic, I find I’m noticing fragrances that usually I’m oblivious to.
Great strip, well observed.
The smell of mushroom farms. Real earthy: sometimes thick and pungent, sometimes sharp in the crisp autumn air.
Just used my new rotary push mower for the first time yesterday. It does indeed smell good! No gas or motor noise to boot.
Can’t believe I’d be playing the Devil’s Advocate here… Because that new car smell beats the sneezing, runny nose, and allergic conjunctivitis I get around just mowed grass.
Click on link for more about allergic conjunctivitis (and the link to the image gives you a (gross) idea about what my eyes look like after an attack.

You have my sympathy K’Tesh…
I know that feeling all too well!
I use a rotary manual push mower. I own two, one big, one detail small. They are light to push if sharp, but don’t like overgrown grass.
You can’t smell the honeysuckle in the morning if you don’t make the ride.
Fresh cut sweet clover from haying time. Ohhh yaaaa
Good ridin

Highly-correlated downside: The smell of freshly-mown dog poo. Not pleasant…
My take: http://doohickie.blogspot.com/2012/02/whycycle.html
Passing fields of blossoming corn, especially after a rain. Delicious!
