Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

LOVE the “upgrade fever”… so true
Spring must be near… I have the “Must Build a New Bike” fever. Waiting for Surly Disc Trucker frames to come out, March they say… mmm…
I have been going over frame plans and checking my tubing supplier for what he has in the cut-off bin that I can use, I have the same disease
That was me, I seem to have been logged out for a while.
I have been waiting for a pedicab comic. I hope there are more of them. I plan to print out this one, as well as one other comic, and post them up in out pedicab shop.
I wish somebody would pay for my upgrade fever
College students pay for mine – by buying the bikes that I fix and flip.
Just goes to show – the ‘lazy’ in all of us wins out when it comes to sight-seeing etc. After all, we are on holiday (?) so why work to see the views?
If you enjoy the ride and the sights you double your pleasure! With the rising cost of gas bicycles can extend the range and time of a trip. If you also feel smugly self-congratulatory your joy might grow exponentially!
Upgrade fever???
As they say in grammar school – It takes one to know one!
I’ve got a fever and the only cure is more Bike Bell.
The awesomeness of this comment leaves me in awe sir.
as a shop employee, this time of year this comic rings extra true. with all the new fancy toys coming out, customers want them, and so do I.
I upgrade my steeds perfectly(for me) last year. I guess I have been inoculated from the that particular fever this year.
I’m with you… kind of. I have less fever than I have had in the past couple springs thanks to the fact that I built up my Surly LHT in the last year and am generally quite pleased with it. That doesn’t keep me from dreaming about a dynamo hub front wheel and lights… there’s always something to improve or change, or so it seems.
I’ve only used a pedicab once… it was a Godsend… could use one right about now (helped Mom move furniture (aka lead ingots) up and down stairs this Sunday…. Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow….)
Missed driving the pedicab this past summer. I did it in 2010 a night or two a week. Tips from that gig helped to finance my bicycle fever!
With a baby on the way in the next couple months, I have a feeling pedicabbing is not in the cards for this summer, either… not that I’m complaining.
Finally got to see my buddy’s 2 week old Lynskey Ti bike. NICE, and nice change of pace from riding his tourer/commuter. Now I want one! My Tour/commuter is 10 years old. My “fast” bike is 35, and not as light as it once seemed . . .
I think my fever broke, or at least stopped climbing, when I reviewed the $503.00 online order and clicke the PayPal button. I still have the antsy dance symptom though, waiting for the package.

Ride to live
My blind friend’s upgrade fever (and a larger than expected holiday bonus) have caused him to upgrade the 20 year old Santana Sovereign we’ve led an early Saturday fast 32-miler on for the last couple years to the latest model… http://santanatandem.com/Bikes/Sovereign.html <– like that one but with upgraded fork and timing belt, in a candy apple red over swirled aluminum finish. Have ridden some nice bikes in my life, but this is most certainly the best upgrade have ever not paid for, while also better than any which I did finance… so looking forward to riding it, which leaves me very thankful for my good fortune in becoming his captain!
My 3 books arrived today (in France)fully sketeched and signed ! Thank you !
