Yeah, I find that wool socks tend to acquire funk quicker than any other wool products. Perhaps it is time he started doing the socks and sandals thing. At least if your feet get wet they dry out quicker that way!

@Yehuda – It’s okay if you wash them first! :-)

Has Yehuda lost a sock, or a foot?

Plastic and styrofoam aren’t too quick to absorb odor, and I’d be surprised if Yehuda’s wool sock would add much more fragrance to the helmet than a month of the sweat from my big head. I’d buy it at a markdown! :)

(Of course it would have to be a Giro Venti, or one of those helmets for “big” heads; my melon’s too big for regular helmets.)

@Guest – that would be theft. It’s the creator of this content’s choice that you remunerate him for the service.

Or to play Devil’s advocate, he’s helpfully pointing out a hole tha Rick needs to plug. He could’ve just as easily kept this to himself or shared it elsewhere.

There’s no hole. In order for the comic navigation to work properly from Tuesday to Friday, I have to ‘double up’ on Monday’s strip. Tomorrow, that strip will be 2012-02-15.gif, etc.

@Kent They are free on Mondays, I believe. Besides, you have to log in to see the restricted comics anyway.

Wool smells much better than the polyester stuff.

Speaking of wet stuff — first serious snow ride into work today in Indy, lovely fresh 2 inches of so on the trail, but wet, not powdery. My Keen NoPos kept the feet warm, dry and toasty, so no need to dry out my socks on my helmet.

Is Yehuda drinking on the job.  That might explain that “clever” idea.  What is that, Sierra Pale Ale?  I figured he’d be more of a homemade  Hard Cider drinker myself.

No way he’s drinking on the job; that’s gotta be a sarsaparilla.

That Tasty Beverage is probably a soft drink. From the label and bottle I would guess IBC Diet Root Beer, but since he’s in the Yehudaverse there’s no telling what it is…

When I commuted in areas with real winters (Ohio and Illinois and Colorado), I would dry my gloves and socks on the vents on the big flat top of my computer’s CRT monitor.  Always dry and cozy by lunch and ready for the trip home after work.  Now I have a thin CRT screen with no drying space and no heat, but now I also live in Northern California where there’s no weather.

Who’s Yehuda Moon?

Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.

The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.
