Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

I find it funny when traffic is going so slow that I can have that kind of conversation
Is it Joe in the car?
Is this a prelude to a new bike shop in the story?
Now why did Y have to state that he was the owner? Did he feel guilt at not actually working yet but just having his morning ride?
The driver was implying that working at a bike shop is the same as playing hooky, hence Yehuda’s retort.
Like Arnold Palmer once said: “When your hobby is your job, you’ll never work a day in your life”.
And those are the lucky few.
I received three books yesterday, woohoo! Was hoping the first one would be in there as well, but I guess combined shipping was too much to hope for…any eta on that?
Hi, did you order the first book separately? If so, you should see it soon. We offered (via Kickstarter emails) to add Volume 1 to reader packages… if you missed that offer, let me know and I’ll reimburse you on the shipping you paid for the separate Volume 1 order.
Thanks and hope you enjoy the books!
How are they being shipped? Big Brown (UPS) or The Blue Train (USPS)?
Blue Train.
Yes, I thought I added it to my reader package but I may have purchased it separately, whatever, I’m not looking for a reimbursement anyway, I just want to read book one first…because I’m one of THOSE people.
Yipee! Got my books yesterday! I’m going to re-read Volume One (already in my library) in order to properly synchronize all the story lines in my head. In skimming, I found Fred’s accident recounted in Vol. 2. A sad but important backstory. Thanks Rick!
It felt good to fill in strips that were missed during breaks I took. The books have a real sense of completion about them; of course these strips are also available online.
I’m tempted to flip waaay back to the beginning in the freebies section just to see what was hidden back there.
Seems to me that the car driver is jealous and would find working at bike shop a dream job!
