Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

SS strikes again? She’d need a new habit for that…
while it is a popular theory, no definite identity for the bike ninja has ever been revealed. It’s my theory that there isn’t just one, but rather it applies to every unlighted fool in dark clothing out there riding at night (and now, white against snow in the daylight)
Bike Ninjas: Out of the Habit
Wasn’t there an album back in the 1970s called Out of the Habit?
I don’t know about that, but there was a 1969 movie called “Change of Habit” in which Mary Tyler Moore tries to decide whether to give up being a nun so she can date Elvis Presley.
One of those wonderful Sixties reality-based movies. To have had a nun who looked like Mary Tyler Moore when I was taking cathecism . . . . . . .
@Opus – Here’s a few I found with Google:-

Just a few results…
Look at Joe’s sarcastic smile! What does he know about Sprocket’s alter ego as a Ninja? Is he supporting her Ninja-actions against Yehuda?
BTW: I miss some clouds of smoke in the last frame.
@Rick or Brian (the one of you who did draw today’s comic): Last frame ist absolutley GREAT!
YES BIKE NINJAS. THAT MADE MY WHOLE MORNING.

It’s a good thing I pay attention when I am in my cage because last night two ninjas salmoning almost met the front of my truck and not in a good way. What do reflectors cost? Clever comic today haha–snowy ninjas.
What’s the white stuff in the background? Has the midwest been attacked with crystalline dihydrogen monoxide?
It’s been impossible to make the strip ‘weather accurate’ this year… who knows what’s happening tomorrow?! It’s been Spring in January in Cleveland.
Yeah, the Daffodils were out a couple of weeks ago in the UK Midlands!
So far, I’ve always managed to see and avoid bike ninjas. Risky cycling behaviour rarely causes crashes or injuries:

Try that in Santa Cruz, California. The home of the bike ninja – no lights, no reflectors, black clothing, dark street, wrong way. Its gotten to the point of when I see someone who actually is showing a light, I’m shocked!
Does this prove that it is bad riding that cause the deaths or lack of lights?
Isn’t riding at night without lights a prime definition of bad riding?
Someone told me about “Snow Goths”. Goths who wear all white instead of all black.
Mixed-mode interaction can be safe!
