What is the name of the Leaflet? I can never read it. I know it is a reference to the Rivendell Reader.

I love how it glows whenever Yehuda and Fred look at it.

Maybe a combination of the Riv Reader and Bicycle Quarterly?

Nice interview with the real life Yehuda Moon here, his name is Rick Smith:

    http://crankedmag.com/

(scroll about 2/3 down the page). Turns out he’s not a bike store mechanic, but instead he’s a web developer for an insurance company. He does bike 24 miles round trip on his daily commute through Cleveland, an inspiration for many strips. Lots of snow and ice in recent strips, but he plans to do bike camping and other themes soon.
In case you’re wondering, the “Lauterbrunnental Leaflet” is indeed a satire on the Rivendell Reader. Rick was inspired by buying a set of all the Rivendell Readers on eBay, so he likes and enjoys them, but they are also good for satire.

Thanks, RandB. Reading this interview almost filled the Yehuda Moon shaped hole in my psyche :)

Who’s Yehuda Moon?

Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.

The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.
