Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

One of the few times I’m glad I generally ride a mountain bike with big knobby tires. It ain’t fast, but it can take ANYTHING in the road.
I do the opposite. I ride the slicks but leave the mountain bike inner tubes (it’s all I’ve got at the moment). It’s a pain to get in but I’ve never had a puncture flat for many years of commuting
I bought kevlar-belted slicks for my MTB. Its starting to look like Yehuda Moon’s ride, except I’ll be getting stainless steel mudguards (fenders).
Don’t forget the mudflapp from Rivendell Bicycle Works.

The week after New Year’s Day is like high season for punctures. All that beer & wine bottle glass…
Schwalbe Marathon, and you’re done.
