Two weeks ago, a pickup buzzed within inches of his partner and honked his horn menacingly. Within seconds of the incident being radioed in, all cops were scrambling to find this yahoo. He ended up turning onto the street where my fellow board member was patrolling. Imagine the driver's surprise to get pulled over by a bike cop! He's currently facing charges of reckless driving and vehicular assault. There is justice in this world, after all. I serve on the board of a bicycle advocacy group with a bike cop.
