I rode to school. It was awesome. It was also only about 1 kilometre. If I ever have kids I will drop them off via xtracycle or ride with them as soon as they are big enough.

The 'school run' hours of the day are possibly the trickiest to ride in. Got to be constantly anticipating a sudden unsignalled manoeuvre, stop or a door opening.

not a coincidence she's on a cell phone for the first two frames of this strip. I wonder if she's the same one who runs over Yehuda's bike in the SUV later on?

My son (age 8) and I have been riding to school together since he was in pre-school. Many peorple- including school personnel- question his safety. All I can say is that he knows the rules of the road, pays attention to what's going on around him and he loves to ride in the snow. When someone tries to discourage him I always let him decide if he wants to ride. He has, so far, never declined to ride to school.

I usually did ride a bike to school, and now as an adult I ride my bike to work. Never gave it much thought since I love to ride bikes.
