Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

My commute to work is used frequently by people training for triathalons. I’m on a knoby 29r and they go by on full carbons with 23s… I don’t even try… anymore.
Yesterday AM I caught, and rode in to work with, a full carbon guy with 23s, me on the 26×2.125 fat tire slicks singlespeed cruiser (stealth feather light) Schwinn Panther with fenders, rack and milk crate full of stuff on the back. Huffed and puffed more than i’d have liked, but no problem rolling at speed. Was rewarded on outbound PM commute by light rain, thus justifying the fenders.
Fat slicks rock, surprisingly fast, especially on less-than-perfect road surfaces, which are pretty much everywhere around here…
