I've actually done this, cross country in Sussex, UK, riding ten miles to my mothers for Christmas dinner. The middle frame is what I looked like - about 2 inches of snow settled up the front of me.

It took about 2 hours for my stomach to warm up to room temperature afterwards. I think all the blood withdrew to my core. I'm not convinced I would have made it if I stopped generating my own heat through pedalling!

But, alas the snowman isn't eating another, or being dismembered in someway. More likely Yehuda would have been turned into a perfect bicycling snow man and they would have built a snow car about to t-bone him.

//This particular comic is so reminescent of Bill Waterson (Calvin & Hobbes) that I wonder if you were inspired by it...//

Smith and Watterson are both residents of NE Ohio. It's hard not to be inspired by the snow out there!

This makes me thankful I never ride HAVE to ride in the snow: we never get it here in the bay area (C.A). I do have a "snowbike" with a K-trak on it up in Tahoe and it's fun to ride, but SLOW...
