Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.

I feel Yehuda just may melt Nannie’s ice-cold heart…
I doubt that a blow torch could do that
it’s Christmas … miracles can still happen
I thought things had gone a bit quiet on that front…
No, he drive her crazy. She will have an heart attack! Oooooooh.
Or an apoplectic fit! Oooooooh
Okay – So, What Bike?
I am thinking a kids bike with training wheels for fun…
Maybe a ‘Princess Sovereign’ http://www.pashley.co.uk/products/princess-sovereign.html
oha .. a pashley .. this makes me think of our great pashley advertiser kevin. long time no see ..
I love that Princess Sovereign! And it even has a skirt guard – something that is IMPOSSIBLE to buy in the US. I had to import one…
I lusted over the pashley awhile but they don’t come in fun colours. I made my own skirt guard! I’d ordered pashley skirt guards out of Toronto but they were weak and didn’t last more than one season so I used them as a pattern to get a pair of acrylic guards cut and I laced them on over the fender with a nice ribbon as there wasn’t any other hardware to do the trick. Looks great, works great, and the mechs don’t seem to hate it too much.
If the skirt guard is enamelled like the fenders, you could take to an auto paint shop to get the colour you want. If doing the complete pike you might have to strip it first – do keep a log of every screw etc as you do so – lost parts might be expensive!
btw – I emailed Pashley today about a spelling mistake on the Princess data, they fixed it right away! There’s customer care for you…
(It said ‘ versitile ‘ instead of ‘ versatile ‘)
I’d be very cool/hesistant on those crimped chainstay and laminated rear fork-ends on the Pashleys, particularly in an environment with snow and salt, such as the Cuyahoga valley.
One of the Workcycles/Azors Secret Service loop frame roadsters or Omafiets with the real slab of steel dropouts would doubtless be better in the cruel Ohio environment.
Which bike? Probably this one. At least it would fit her personality…

‘Different tack’, Rick. Think sailing.
Love the comic
perhaps tact as in tactic
Nope; Che’s right. Tact and tactic are nouns (that mean slightly different things) & tack is a verb that means to change direction (by moving your sails). Sorry, but I had to…

As John Coffey said in The Green Mile: “Kill em with Kindness”
Someone help me out. I don’t get it. Who is speaking out of frame? Is Joe up-selling with helmets? Is the traffic safety hag back?
Yehuda is speaking in the third frame, Thistle in the fourth.
I just read it again. I forgot that “Nanny State” is a person’s name. It makes no sense if you don’t remember that name.
Too bad we’re never going to find out.
I’m starting to get used to the idea of this not being here after the first of the year. I may have to accept it, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.
