I was told, the only way to make coffee is –erm strange in my opinion:

Moisten a pound of coffee and boil gently half an hour. Test with a horseshoe, if it’s sinking, take more coffee.

It’s 8:30 AM local time, I continue with my breakfast coffee (double espresso with milk 1:1).

Now if only she could see ‘Future bike’.

Well, given the bike has hardly changed in the last 100 years it probably won’t change much in the next 100.

Only for Joe’s clientele. For the rest it’ll still be steel and some aluminum.

@Bicycle Bill – re: ‘whassup with the pinned-up sleeve?’
In a strip from some time ago, (I think) Joe went so fast he went into the future and met this Yehuda. So I think that Rick may be going somewhere with this idea and we will have to watch and wait to find out. :-(

Thistle’s got Sister Sprocket’s eyes in frames 1-3. Weapons-grade coffee, hand-rubbed shag, and mixte fixies can do that to a woman…

Sorry to ask others for context, but I have absolutely no idea what today’s comic is saying. What the heck is going on? Is Yehuda’s coffee a portal into a future dimension?

What are you talking about “the end.” Did Rick say he was ending the strip? Link please.

The rest of us foresaw the end after a cup of Yehuda’s coffee. Didn’t you get any?

Coffee, eh? In my younger days not so terribly long ago, a roommate and I used that as a euphemism for another substance, sold in bars in Amsterdam just as coffee is. Although I must say I never “drank enough coffee” to have see my future self…

We know about future Yehuda from back when Joe overdid it trying to catch the grail and accidentally travelled into the future. At the time it looked like that was foreshadowing Yehuda’s run in with the snowplow, but obviously that didn’t take Yehuda’s arm. (As an aside, Yehuda’s future bike was still the Van S).

Here, I think the coffee is so strong that Thistle is seeing the future

Apparently the coffee has some spice. I can’t tell if the eyes are blue, sclera and all.

Either seeing the future or merely hallucinating: see http://www.livescience.com/3230-caffeine-hallucinations.html

I shared a flat when a student with a guy who drank coffee made from boiling water, milk, 5 spoons of sugar and about 1/6th spoon of instant coffee powder. I suspect Yehuda may reverse the proportions of spooned ingredients….

Who’s Yehuda Moon?

Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.

The comic strip is about two guys who run a bike shop and the challenges they face in the store and on the road. Yehuda‘s the utilitarian advocate; Joe‘s the go-fast pragmatist. Thistle Gin, a wrench and biking mom, rounds them out.
